[insert record screech here]
It’s true… there are only two weeks between us and the end of the year.
TWO WEEKS! 😱
Where has the time gone? I swear it was just last week we were partying like it was 1999, and Y2K was promising to decimate the grid. Am I aging myself?
Someone asked me last week if I write New Year’s resolutions, and I promptly responded, “Nope.” I never have. I tend to like to ease my way into new habits and dream wildly about what “could be” in the coming year. If things happen for me in March, so be it. I feel the same about August.
One thing I love doing at the very end of December, though, is intentionally reflecting on the past year. This helps me be fully present in what I’d like to see in the months to come.
Here’s my gentle, year-end ritual:
I block off a few quiet hours, put my phone away, and start here with solo reflection:
What do I need to grieve from 2025?
What do I need to celebrate?
How did I grow spiritually, personally, relationally, emotionally, and in my work this year?
What are my goals in each of those areas for 2026?
After you’ve sat with the questions, invite someone you trust into the reflection. Share with each other your answers to these questions:
What area of your life showed the most growth over the past year? Be specific.
How can you have more fun, even within limitations?
How can other people better support and encourage you?
What would be different if you went deeper than “I’m fine” and were honest about what you’re really feeling?
✨ These questions are especially powerful if you’re in the messy middle of a job search, life transition, or just feel stuck. When clarity feels far away, honesty can bring you closer to solid ground.

Year-end rush got you staying late? These 8 hacks will help you finish strong and make it out the door on time.
I see you, knee deep in that job search. 😉 December is prime time to uplevel your strategy while everything else slows down.
If you’ve ever needed a little push to try your hand at something extra on the side, take this as your nudge.
It feels logical: the more you apply, the better your odds, right?
But here’s the truth — job search success isn’t about the quantity of applications, it’s about the clarity with which you pursue those applications.
Instead of hitting “Easy Apply” on every post that crosses your feed, pause and ask yourself these 3 things.
Speaking of that Easy Apply button, I’m giddy to announce my first-ever masterclass, Beyond ‘Easy Apply’: How to Ditch the Overwhelm of Job Application Burnout on Thursday, January 15.
And, yes, you’re invited to join me!

And that’s it for 2025! I hope you have a wonderful close to the year with loved ones, family, and friends.
