  • They stay plugged into the job market  so they can spot trends like ghost jobs or revenge quitting coming a mile away.

  • They treat the job hunt like a job  itself with set hours and a system.

  • They have an interview bucket list,  which are companies that they wanna work for, not just the first offer that pops up.

  • They customize their résumé for every role,  so it's impossible for AI screeners to pass them over.

  • They build a personal brand  because these days your online footprint is your business card.

  • They expand their search beyond the obvious job boards.

  • They network, like it's their side hustle online and off,

  • And they use side gigs to sharpen new skills  and potentially break into new industries.

  • Finally, and maybe most importantly, they use the job search as a moment to check in with themselves and ask, "Am I chasing the right thing?"

  The takeaway? They're proactive, they're strategic, they're intentional. They don't just wait for opportunities. They create them.
