From San Francisco, with Gratitude

It’s the end of the year, and I wanted to pause and say thank you for being a part of my 2025.

This year looked different for me. Instead of hopping on a myriad of planes to places my mom and BFF Kirk requested I never go again, I stayed rooted here in San Francisco—walking familiar streets with fresh eyes, getting involved in my neighborhood, volunteering at City Hall, and joining (almost) weekly street cleanups.

In the stillness of staying put, something unexpected happened: I found my voice again.

Thanks for sticking with me when I restarted this newsletter after months of silence and for keeping up with my new content creation era over on LinkedIn.

Most importantly, thank you for trusting me with your career disappointments, for letting me sit beside you in moments of doubt, and for inviting me into your celebrations when clarity turned into offers.

Those moments will never get old, and they’re an honor I don’t take lightly.

I’m endlessly grateful for clients and newsletter subscribers who so often become friends. For thoughtful replies, honest questions, and the quiet magic of conversations unfolding in my inbox.

Here’s to 2026, may it be one for the record books. 🥂

  • Turns out, no one’s coming to save you but you, from those blurred lines between work and life.

  • Out of the 81 books I read this year, I think these are the tops. Which would you add?

If you’re navigating the roundabouts of a job search, you already know, this whole process is wildly subjective.

The same résumé can land you an interview with one company and radio silence from another.

When it comes to the ups, downs, and in-betweens of a job search, sharing is caring!

Spots are filling up fast for Beyond ‘Easy Apply’: How to Ditch the Overwhelm of Job Application Burnout on Thursday, January 15.

I plan on having a blast with all of the live participants (Should I send out a recording following? I haven’t decided yet. Shoot me a reply and let me know your thoughts!).

In the session, we’ll cover:

✨ 6 common search pitfalls
✨ 5 job search pillars
✨ 3 résumé must-haves
✨ Where to sell yourself 24 hours a day
✨ 1 solid application strategy

Your next role won’t come from applying harder; it will come from applying smarter.

Let’s build the strategy that gets you real traction in 2026.

Happy New Year!
