Best Books of 2025

Last week, I shared that I don’t really do New Year’s resolutions. Instead, I ease my way into new habits and let things unfold throughout the year.

Back in August, I made one of those intentional decisions: I wanted to cut down on how much time I spend on my phone.

Fast forward a few months, and my daily screen time is averaging about an hour and a half a day. ⏱️

With all that reclaimed time, I read 80 books this year.

80 books!

I haven’t consumed that many books since my commute was hours a day.

And, I didn’t do anything extreme, I just stopped scrolling (no more IG for me!) and built a simple rhythm around reading:

🎧 One audiobook is always queued up for the car, walks, and chores
📚 One physical book is on the nightstand for afternoon and before-bed reading (and for the bus!)

Less scrolling ⇢ more space.
More space ⇢ deeper focus.
Deeper focus ⇢ more time to do something I love (and helps my writing, too!)

So I’m jumping on the wagon and sharing my top reads of 2025 below.

👇🏽 What’s one book that stayed with you this year?
