Mine Was by Green Day… Yours?

"Good Riddance (Time of Your Life)" by Green Day was what our senior choral group sang… and apparently, it’s still holding strong for the Class of 2026. Along with Natasha Bedingfield and The Script, it seems the Millennial/Gen X songbook still rules supreme.

Huzzah! Graduation season is upon us, and that means summer is right around the corner!

I can’t believe that two friends from my graduating class have a child who will be attending our university in the fall. This is an impossibility, as we are all still 32.

But it does have me thinking about what it actually looks like to step into the “real world” right now—and how unprepared so many new grads feel walking into a market that’s a lot tougher than it used to be.

We spend years preparing people to do the job… and almost no time teaching them how to get one.

So new grads hit the market thinking it’s a numbers game—apply enough, something will work—when in reality, that approach just burns time and confidence. (You know the drill, we talk about it allll the time.)

And that spiral happens fast.

Well, another class of grads walking into that blind? Not on my watch!

So I built the New Grad Glow Up, a focused, real-world sprint to help new grads actually land their first role—with the right tools, support, and perspective from the start.

Here’s what’s included:

  • A 1:1 call with me to get personalized direction on their search and how to position themselves

  • An Intro résumé that tells a clear, compelling story (not just a list of classes and internships)

  • and executive presence training with speaker coach Jeff Davenport—so new grads know how to show up, communicate, and interview in a way that actually lands

Because this isn’t just about getting a job—it’s about knowing how to navigate the process, speak to your value, and walk in with confidence from day one.

If you—or someone you love—is heading into this season (or is in their early career), I’d love to be a support. It’s a much easier game when you know how to play it. ✨

  • My first LinkedIn Live may have been a bust, 🫠 but the conversation wasn’t!

Thinking about a career shift, pivot, or transition—or just ready for something new?

We’re in the middle of the Great Career Shift, and career paths are turning into portfolios fast.

Last week, I shared how to position yourself in a sea of people ready to leap.

🎙️ This Friday on “If I don’t tell you, who will?”, I’m sitting down with product leader and author of Startup Stages, Donovan Bass.

Donovan has run product and research teams at Zoox, Dropbox, and Jawbone, and has been recognized by TIME and Fast Company for innovation.

I’ll tell you this: he’s drawn a crowd. Not only will you get to connect with everyone on the call, you’ll hear real-time bts on what leaders are actually listening for in interviews—and how to position yourself when a role isn’t as clearly defined as it looks on paper.

I’m looking forward to seeing many of you there!
