Gallup’s State of the Global Workplace in 2026
According to Gallup, only 21% of employees worldwide say they’re engaged at work.
That means nearly 8 out of 10 people are… not.
With that kind of workplace angst, it’s no wonder so many are rethinking what’s next.
The truth is, there’s more than one right way to navigate a transition — it just depends on the kind of support you want right now.
If you’re looking for a thought partner to help you make sense of the transition, clarify your next move, and position yourself with intention, I've got you with 1:1 Clarity Coaching.

I'll be honest, I am not a data person, but every year I get so excited to dive into one report and that is Gallup's State of the Global Workplace. Because it answers the question I'm obsessed with:
Are people actually happy in their jobs?
Here's what this year's report says. While global engagement reached an all time high in 2023, it slipped to just 21% last year.
Here are some stats focused just on the US and Canada.
50% of employees feel emotionally detached. AKA, they're quiet quitting.
22% feel sad daily and 15% feel lonely.
50% of US workers say they feel stressed every single day, and
17% feel angry at work.
With all of that frustration, it should come as no surprise that 57% of workers feel like they are ready to make a career change, and nearly half of those are ready to do it right now.
So if you're one of them, I want you to ask yourself, how are you telling your career story to potential employers? How are you setting yourself apart? Do you have a clear strategy or a partner to help you build one?
You don't have to do this alone. Working with a professional résumé writer and career coach can help you get unstuck and find direction, build confidence through self discovery, navigate the messy middle of a career change.
If you're ready to make a move and want a partner in your corner, let's make it happen.
